signs at the gravel road endThis is the point to get off the bus to Rio Puelo if doing the walk in the reverse direction. Alternatively, you can either wait here for the bus going in the return direction to Puerto Montt, via Puerto Varas or walk north into Cochamo ( turn right at the junction ) for supplies. There is a small shrine to the Virgin Mary opposite the junction.

There is a Campo Aventura accommodation and campsite over the bridge to the left. According to their guides they have full facilities, including hot showers, and come in at around US$4 per tent per night.
